individuals having participated in an educational activity relating to family in any way
are more eager for taking part in the training.
Allocation unit. Considering allocation units, it is seen that those having the highest
levels for participating in a training to be given in the matters of education are the
families living in villages while the most reluctant ones are the families living in me-
tropolises.
Settlement (Countryside, city). Considering feature of settlement such as being coun-
tryside or a city, eagerness for taking part in training to be given in all sub-dimensions
constituting dimension of education differs significantly. As in the other topics, those
living in countryside are more eager for taking part in the training compared to those
living in cities, also in this topic.
Region. Considering regions, where families live, individuals’ levels of finding
themselves competent are higher in the regions, (TR1 Istanbul and TR2 Western
Marmara) where welfare and educational level is higher compared to the other regions.
However, individuals’ levels of finding themselves competent are lower in TR7 Central
Anatolian, TRC South-eastern Anatolian regions compared to the other regions. The
fact that eagerness for taking part in the training to be given both in the regions, where
levels of finding oneself competent are high and in the regions that levels of finding
oneself competent are low, is high and it is significant in the sense that it shows the
need for family education in every region of the country.
