Educational Needs Of Families In Turkey<br />

concerning family members. Examining the findings relating to family members’ ea-<br />

gerness for taking part in training to be organized in legal topics concerning family<br />

members, it was determined that there is a significant change according to the educa-<br />

tional backgrounds of the participants. Accordingly, it is seen that eagerness for taking<br />

part in a training to be organized increases as educational le<strong>ve</strong>l rises.<br />

Age. It was seen that participants’ le<strong>ve</strong>ls of finding themsel<strong>ve</strong>s competent in legal<br />

topics concerning family members differ significantly according to age.<br />

18-25 aged participants’ le<strong>ve</strong>ls of finding themsel<strong>ve</strong>s competent are significantly lower<br />

compared to the other participants. Considering the case that eagerness for taking part<br />

in a training to be organized in legal topics differs according to the, it was determined<br />

that eagerness le<strong>ve</strong>ls of participants at the age of 58 and more for taking part in a such a<br />

training are significantly lower compared to the other participants.<br />

Allocation unit. Participants inhabiting in different allocation units’ le<strong>ve</strong>ls of considering<br />

themsel<strong>ve</strong>s competent differ significantly. Considering the case that eagerness for<br />

taking part in training to be organized in legal topics differs according to allocation<br />

unit, it was seen that participants living in metropolises’ eagerness for taking part in<br />

such training are significantly lower compared to the participants living in the other<br />

allocation units.<br />

Settlement. Considering settlements, it was found that participants living in cities’<br />

le<strong>ve</strong>ls of considering themsel<strong>ve</strong>s competent are significantly higher compared to the<br />

participants living in country sides. Considering the case that eagerness for taking part<br />

in training to be organized in legal topics differs according to settlements, where families<br />

li<strong>ve</strong>, it was obser<strong>ve</strong>d that participants living in countryside’s eagerness for taking<br />

part in training to be organized in all of the topics relating to law are significantly<br />

higher compared to the participants living in cities.<br />

State of having participated in any course or training relating to family education beforehand.<br />

Family members having participated in a course relating to the family education’s<br />

beforehand le<strong>ve</strong>ls of considering themsel<strong>ve</strong>s competent are significantly higher compared<br />

to family members not having participated in such a course. Examining the findings<br />

relating to family members’ eagerness for taking part in a training to be organized<br />
