The thing families do most frequently in the matter of their children’s education is<br />

providing their children with supporti<strong>ve</strong> courses. In addition, families encourage their<br />

children to participate in supporti<strong>ve</strong> activities such as social and sporti<strong>ve</strong> activities,<br />

reading books. Meanwhile, families employ private teachers for their children and limit<br />

hours of watching television. Howe<strong>ve</strong>r, it was seen that families not having good economic<br />

conditions cannot provide their children with private teaching institutions,<br />

private teacher, courses and activities with health, social and cultural contents.<br />

It is mentioned that an educational program to be de<strong>ve</strong>loped for families must co<strong>ve</strong>r<br />

topics such as marriage, choosing of spouse, establishing healthy communication between<br />

spouses, respect, lo<strong>ve</strong>, pregnancy and child care, giving individual support to<br />

education of the children, ensuring unity of family, family members’ acquiring needs<br />

and habits such as reading a book, health and nutrition, which will make contribution<br />

to cultural de<strong>ve</strong>lopment of themsel<strong>ve</strong>s and other family members, basic human and<br />

social values, factors influencing mental health of the children and ways of coping with<br />

them and healthy nutrition.<br />

Analysing the opinions of participants about broken families, it was determined that<br />

participants mostly put emphasis on economic factors and miscommunication between<br />

spouses as reasons for break of the families. It is also emphasized that unconsciousness
