pants having four or more children are generally more eager for taking part in a train-<br />

ing to be organized in the topics relating to the media compared to the other partici-<br />

pants.<br />

State of having participated in any course or seminar in the matters relating to family<br />

beforehand. Those having participated in any course or a similar activity in the matter<br />

of family education consider themsel<strong>ve</strong>s more competent in all of the topics relating to<br />

the media except for the matter of capability to cope with the addiction of TV compared<br />

to those not having participated in these kinds of activities. Those having participated<br />

in any course or a similar activity in the matter of family education are more<br />

eager for taking part in the trainings to be organized in the topics relating to the media<br />

compared to those not having participated in these kinds of activities.<br />

Allocation unit. According to the results of Chi-square analysis relating to comparison<br />

of family members’ le<strong>ve</strong>ls of considering themsel<strong>ve</strong>s competent in dimension of the<br />

media according to allocation unit, where family inhabits, the group considering themsel<strong>ve</strong>s<br />

the least competent in all of the topics relating to the media is made up of the<br />

participants living in villages. The most eager group for taking part in the trainings to<br />

be gi<strong>ve</strong>n in the topics relating to the media is made up of the participants living in<br />

villages, while the most reluctant participant are those living in metropolises.<br />

Allocation unit (countryside / city). Participants, who li<strong>ve</strong> in city consider themsel<strong>ve</strong>s<br />

are more competent in all of the topics relating to the media compared to the individuals<br />

living in countryside. This finding may be related to the fact that participants living<br />

in the city are more educated. Those living in the cities are less eager for taking part in<br />

the trainings to be organized in the topics relating to the media compared to the participants<br />

living in countryside. This finding can be explained as individuals living in<br />

countryside ha<strong>ve</strong> more leisure times compared to the individuals living in cities and<br />

these people living in countryside consider the trainings to be organized in the related<br />

topic as a means of socialization.<br />
