Family members participating in the research were asked firstly about their le<strong>ve</strong>ls of<br />

considering themsel<strong>ve</strong>s competent and then their le<strong>ve</strong>ls of eagerness for taking part in<br />

education with regard to the topics abo<strong>ve</strong>.<br />

According to the research findings, the topics in which families feel themsel<strong>ve</strong>s incompetent<br />

in the dimension of education are relations with disabled people and individuals<br />

in need of nursing, personal de<strong>ve</strong>lopment of the family members (such as learning<br />

a foreign language, elocution, using the language, acquiring an art skill), protection<br />

from natural disasters such as earthquake, flood, fire and security, sexual education,<br />

child’s using the time out of the school efficiently (use of the leisure times, hobbies).<br />

The topics in which families consider themsel<strong>ve</strong>s competent to a great degree can<br />

be mentioned as follows: Distribution of the tasks and sharing the house works in the<br />

family, spending a qualified time together in the family, positi<strong>ve</strong> or negati<strong>ve</strong> influences<br />

of relati<strong>ve</strong>s on the marriage, supporting studies of the child at home, child de<strong>ve</strong>lopment,<br />

religious values / religious education of the family members, pre<strong>ve</strong>ntion and<br />

control of the undesirable behaviours of the children.<br />

The topics in which families are more eager for taking part in a training to be gi<strong>ve</strong>n<br />

can be mentioned as follows: Protection from natural disasters such as earthquake,<br />

flood, fire and security, helping child in choice of profession, pre<strong>ve</strong>ntion and control of<br />

the undesirable behaviours of the children, child de<strong>ve</strong>lopment, religious values / religious<br />

education of family members, personal de<strong>ve</strong>lopment of the family members (such<br />

as learning a foreign language, elocution, using the language, acquiring an art skill),<br />

child’s using the time out of the school efficiently (use of the leisure times, hobbies),
