When the former were going, the latter were going; when the former stood, the latter
stood; when the former lifted up from the earth, the latter were lifted up with them, for
the spirit of life was in the wheels.

On top of the heads of the animals, they had a semblance like a firmament,
something like a vision of crystal, spread out over their wings from above. 23 Their wings
were spread out under the firmament, one flapping against the other; each had two
paired together covering their bodies. 24 I heard the sound of their wings when they
were going, like the sound of much water. A When they stood, their wings rested.

Behold, there was a voice from up above the firmament which was on top of their

There was something like a vision of a sapphire stone; the semblance of a throne
was on it. On the semblance of the throne was the semblance of something like the
appearance of a man above. 27 I saw something like the sight of amber C from a vision of
the loins upward, and from a vision of the loins on down I saw something like a vision
of fire and its surrounding radiance. 28 Like a vision of a rainbow, whenever it is in the
cloud on days of rain, so was the form of the surrounding radiance. This was the vision
of the semblance of the glory of the Lord. I looked and fell on my face, and I heard the
voice of one speaking.
Ezekiel 2
1 He said to me, "Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak to you." 2 The
Spirit came upon me, took me up, lifted me up, and stood me on my feet. I heard him
speaking to me. 3 He said to me, "Son of man, I am sending you forth to the house of
Israel, those who are provoking me, they and their fathers who provoked me to this
day. 4 You will say to them, `Thus says the Lord!´ 5 Whether they then hear or are
terrified (for it is a provoking house), they will know that you are a prophet in their
midst. 6 Son of man, do not be afraid of them or be distraught due to their presence, for
they will incite and riot against you all around, and you will reside in the midst of
scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words or be distraught due to their presence, for it
is a provoking house. 7 You will speak my words to them, whether they then hear or are
terrified, for it is a provoking house.
8 Son of man, hear the one who speaks to you; do not be provoking like the
provoking house. Open up your mouth and eat what I give you." 9 I looked, and behold,
a hand stretched out to me, and in it there was a scroll of a document. D 10 He unrolled it
before me, and on it the back and the front had been inscribed. A lamentation, a lyric,
and a woe had been inscribed in it.
