toward the east of the land. 8 It will be for him as a possession in Israel. The governors
of Israel will no longer overpower my people, and the house of Israel will inherit the
land according to their tribes."
9 Thus says the Lord God: "Let that be enough for you, O governors of Israel.
Remove wrongdoing and misery, perform justice and righteousness, and take away
overpowering from my people," says the Lord God. 10 "Let there be a righteous balance,
a righteous measure, and a righteous choenix A for you as the measure. 11 The choenix
will similarly be one for receiving. The choenix will be a tenth of an omer; the measure
will be equal to an omer. B 12 The weights will be twenty obols; five shekels will be five,
ten shekels will be ten, and fifty shekels will be one mina C for you.
13 This is the initial offering which you will set apart: one sixth of a measure from an
omer of wheat, and one sixth of an ephah from a cor of barley. 14 The ordinance of the
oil: one cup of oil from ten cups (for ten cups are an omer), 15 and one sheep from ten
sheep, as a deduction from all the families of Israel for sacrifices, for whole burnt
offerings, and for what pertains to salvation, in order to make atonement concerning
you," says the Lord God. 16 "All the people will give this initial offering to the governor of
Israel. 17 The whole burnt offerings, the sacrifices, and the libations will be through the
governor; they will be during the feasts, during the new moons, and during the
sabbaths, and during all the feasts of the house of Israel. He will render those on behalf
of sin, the sacrifice, the whole burnt offerings, and those pertaining to salvation, in
order to make atonement on behalf of the house of Israel."
18 Thus says the Lord God: "In the first month, on the first of the month, you will
take an unblemished calf from the cattle to make atonement for the holy place. 19 The
priest will take some of the blood of the atonement and put it on the doorjambs of the
house, on the four corners of the temple, on the altar, and on the doorjambs of the
gate of the inner courtyard. 20 You will do so in the seventh month; on the first of the
month you will take an allocation from each one, D and you will make atonement for the
house.
21 In the first month, on the fourteenth of the month, there will be the Passover feast
for you; you will eat unleavened bread for seven days. 22 On that day the governor will
render, on behalf of himself and the house and on behalf of all the people of the land, a
calf on behalf of sin. 23 For the seven days of the feast, he will render as whole burnt
offerings to the Lord seven calves and seven unblemished rams each day for the seven
days, a kid from the goats each day on behalf of sin and a sacrifice. 24 You will make a
pastry for the calf, a pastry for the ram, and a hin of oil for the pastry. 25 In the seventh
month, on the fifteenth of the month, during the feast, you will render according to the
same things for seven days, just like those on behalf of sin, just like the whole burnt
