and colonnades all around the courtyard; there were thirty priestly chambers among
the colonnades. 18 The porches were behind the gates; the lower colonnade was
according to the length of the gates. 19 He measured the width of the courtyard from
the atrium of the outer gate inside to the atrium of the gate which looked outside,
which looked toward the east, as one hundred cubits. He brought me to the north.
Behold, there was a gate which looked toward the north for the outer courtyard.
He measured it, both its length and width, 21 as well as the taim, three on this side and
three on that side, the éylim, the ulamim, and its palm trees. They were according to
the measures of the gate which looked toward the east; its length was fifty cubits, and
its breadth was twenty-five cubits. 22 Its windows, its ulamim, and its palm trees were
just like the gate which looked toward the east; they went up to it by seven rungs, and
the ulamim were inside. 23 There was a gate for the inner courtyard which looked at the
ulam; its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth was twenty-five cubits. 26 There were
seven rungs for it, as well as ulamim inside; there were palm trees for it on the éylim,
one on this side and one on that side. 27 There was a gate opposite the gate of the inner
courtyard to the south. He measured the courtyard from gate to gate; the breadth was
one hundred cubits to the south.
28
He brought me into the inner courtyard of the gate which was to the south, and he
measured the gate according to these measures, 29 as well as the taim, the éylim, and
the ulamim according to these measures. There were windows for it and for the ulamim
all around; its length was fifty cubits, and the breadth was twenty-five cubits. 30 As for
the ulamim all around, the length was twenty-five cubits and the width was five cubits. A
The ulamim were toward the outer courtyard; there were palm trees for the ayil, and
eight rungs.
