obliteration; you will recognize that I am the Lord."´"
21 The word of the Lord was directed at me, saying, 22 "Son of man, what is this
illustration which all of you have concerning the land of Israel, which says, `The days
are long; the vision has perished´? 23 Because of this, say to them, `Thus says the Lord:
"I will overturn this illustration, and the house of Israel will no longer tell this
illustration."´ For you will speak to them: `The days have arrived, as well as the word
of every vision. 24 For there will no longer be any false vision and one who divines things
for a favor in the midst of the sons of Israel. 25 For I the Lord will speak my words; I will
speak and perform them, and will no longer delay. For in your days, O provoking house,
I will speak and perform the word,´ says the Lord."
26 The word of the Lord was directed at me, saying, 27 "Son of man, behold, the
provoking house of Israel is saying, `The vision which this person sees is for many
days, and this person is prophesying for distant seasons.´ 28 Because of this, say to
them, `Thus says the Lord: "None of my words will delay any longer; I will speak and
perform the things which I will speak,"´ says the Lord."
Ezekiel 13
1 The word of the Lord was directed at me, saying, 2 "Son of man, prophesy against
the prophets of Israel. A You will prophesy and say to them, `Hear the word of the Lord.
3 Thus says the Lord: "Woe to those who prophesy from their heart and do not see
entirely. 4 Your prophets, O Israel, are like foxes in the deserts. 5 They did not stand on a
firmament; they gathered flocks against the house of Israel. Those who say, `On the
day of the Lord,´ did not arise. 6 Those who say, `The Lord says,´ are seeing
falsehoods; they are divining vanities. The Lord did not send them forth, yet they began
to make a word arise. 7 Haven't you seen a false vision and told vain divinations?"´ B
8 Because of this, say, `Thus says the Lord: "Since your words are false and your
divinations are vain, because of this, behold, I am against you," says the Lord. 9 "I will
extend my hand against the prophets who see falsehoods and who utter vanities. They
will not be in the instruction of my people, neither will they be written in the writing of
the house of Israel. They will not enter the land of Israel, and they will know that I am
the Lord. 10 Since they deceived my people, saying, `Peace, peace,´ and there was no
peace, this one is building a wall and they are plastering it; it will fall. 11 Say to those
who are plastering it, `It will fall!´ There will be a flooding rain. I will give slingshot
stones against their joints, and they will fall; there will be a removing breeze, and it will
be broken. 12 Behold, the wall has fallen! Won't they say to you, `Where is your plaster
with which you plastered it?´" 13 Because of this, thus says the Lord: "I will also cause
to break forth a removing blast with fury, and there will be a flooding rain in my wrath;
in fury I will bring forth slingshot stones, resulting in a termination. 14 I will raze the wall
which you plastered, and it will fall. I will place it on the ground; its foundations will be
