midst of many peoples like a lion among livestock in the forest and like a cub among
flocks of sheep, as when he goes through, disperses, and snatches, and there is no one
who will rescue. 8 Your hand will be exalted over those who oppress you, and all your
enemies will be eliminated.
9 "It will be on that day," says the Lord, "that I will eliminate your horses out of your
midst and destroy your chariots. 10 I will eliminate the cities of your land and tear down
all your strongholds. 11 I will tear your sorceries out of your hands, and there will be no
fortune tellers among you. 12 I will eliminate your carvings and your statues out of your
midst, and you will no longer worship the works of your hands. 13 I will cut your groves
out of your midst and obliterate your cities. 14 I will execute vengeance among the
nations in anger and wrath, because they did not listen."
