19 you will say to them, `Thus says the Lord: "Behold, I will take the tribe of Joseph,
which is through the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel which belong to him, and
I will give them to the tribe of Judah, and they will be one rod in the hand of Judah."´
20 The rods on which you wrote will be in your hand in their sight. 21 You will say to
them, `Thus says the Lord, the Lord: "Behold, I am taking all the house of Israel out of
the midst of the nations where they entered. I will gather them from all who are around
them, and I will bring them into the land of Israel. 22 I will give them as a nation in my
land and among the mountains of Israel. They will have one ruler, and they will no
longer be two nations, nor will they be divided any longer into two kingdoms, 23 so that
they may no longer be defiled by their idols. A I will deliver them from all their lawless
acts by which they sinned, and I will cleanse them. They will be a people for me, and I
the Lord will be a God for them. 24 My slave David will be a ruler in their midst; there will
be one shepherd of everyone, for they will walk in my ordinances, preserve my
judgments, and perform them. 25 They will reside on their land which I have given to my
slave Jacob, where their fathers resided; they themselves will reside on it, B and David
my slave will be their ruler forever. 26 I will make for them a testament of peace; it will
be an eternal testament with them. I will put my holy places in their midst forever. 27 My
tent will be among them; I will be a God for them, and they will be my people. 28 The
nations will know that I am the Lord who makes them holy when my holy places are in
their midst forever."´"
Ezekiel 38
1 The word of the Lord was directed at me, saying, 2 "Son of man, set your face
against Gog and the land of Magog, the ruler of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and
prophesy against him. 3 Say to him, `Thus says the Lord, the Lord: "Behold, I am
against you, O Gog, the ruler of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal. 4 I will gather you and all
your force, horses and horsemen, all wearing breastplates; a great congregation,
shields, helmets, and swords; 5 Persians, Ethiopians, and Libyans, all with helmets and
shields; 6 Gomer and all who are around him; the house of Togarmah from the end of
the north, and all who are around him; many nations with you.
7 Be prepared; prepare yourself, you and all your congregation which is gathered
with you, and you will be a guardpost for me. 8 After many days he will be prepared,
and at the end of years he will come; he will arrive in the land which was turned back
from the sword, after they are gathered from many nations, against the land of Israel,
which became entirely deserted. He has come out of the nations, and they will all reside
in peace. 9 You will go up like rain and will arrive like a cloud to cover the land, and
there will be you C and all who are around you, and many nations with you."
10 Thus says the Lord, the Lord: "It will also be on that day that words will go up into
your heart, and you will devise evil plans. 11 You will say, `I will go up against the
