ACTION-TO-DATE: On-time/Ahead of Schedule
The project appears to be at least six months ahead of schedule and will reach the Final Completion of Construction by
September 2009. Overall, construction is considered to be 99 percent complete. Sodding was completed in June 2009,
however sodding maintenance/repair is ongoing.
At the request of the Office of Governor Charlie Crist, the District has been communicating regularly with the cooperator
concerning the Governor's Accelerate Florida initiative to stimulate Florida's economy. An information request was sent
to the cooperator on October 15, 2008. District staff followed up with an email and phone call regarding the cooperator's
efforts to accelerate the project. The cooperator responded, "PRMRWSA and their construction subcontractors have
agreed and executed contracts with early completion incentives. The District has allocated $7,812,582 in FY2009 funding
toward this project to assist meeting this accelerated schedule. This project is anticipated to meet its accelerated
schedule milestone in early summer 2009."
