Importance of Historical Thinking in the Contemporary World
Abstract. The study debates the relationship between History as past
reality, historical thinking and Historiography as a science of reconstruction
and interpreting the past, respectively the contemporary world. Facts and
historical processes, occurring at different stages of development of
contemporary society, represent the human experience that can become
beneficial to the present social creation and an approximation of future
developments. Conscious human participation in historical creation can
accelerate developments in contemporary human society.

Lumea Contemporană se constituie într-un rezultat al evoluţiilor
anterioare, cumulând o vastă experienţă socială. O întreagă
desfăşurare a societăţii umane – de la origini chiar – a precedat
momentul actual, cu dimensiunile lui, multe superioare etapelor de
până acum, permiţând, într-o abordare conştientă, proiecţiile
evoluţiilor viitoare.
Pe măsură ce societatea omenească a evoluat spre
Contemporaneitate, creaţia umană, practica socială s-a conştientizat.
Elitele societăţii au putut constata, pe măsura trecerii timpului,
existenţa unor legităţi ale evoluţiei sociale, cu posibilităţi şi limite de
care era necesar a se ţine seama. În afara acestora poate fi mişcare
înceată sau blocaj, proiectele de evoluţie trebuind să se încadreze
între acestea.
