cirugía periodontal si es necesaria.
La resección radicular está indicada en los casos en los que esté afectado
un diente multirradicular y: (1) la destrucción ósea alrededor de una raíz está
mucho más avanzada que alrededor de las otras raíces, o (2) si la lesión de
furca tiene tal complejidad que no puede mantenerse limpia, o (3) si las raíces
divergentes de los dientes vecinos, por lo general las raíces vestibulares
de los molares superiores, están muy próximas entre sí o realmente se tocan
(v. cap. 20).
