Ahlâk-ı Alâî’den Hareketle Osmanlı Toplumundaki Ahlâkî Hayata Dair Hikmetlerin Tasnif ve
Değerlendirilmesi
Ahlâk-ı Alâî’, Osmanlı medeniyetinin zirvede olduğu Kanunî Sultan Süleyman döneminde yazılmış; dinî, felsefî,
edebî ve ahlakî mahiyette klasik eserlerinden biri sayılmaktadır. Bu yıl itibariyle, eserin yazılışının 450. yılında bulunmamız
(1565- 2015); ona eğilmemiz ve yeniden istifade etmemiz hususunda bir vesile teşkil eder diye düşünmekteyiz. O devrin
âlim ve ârif şahsiyetlerinden, İstanbul Kadılığına ve Anadolu Kazaskerliğine kadar yükselmiş olan Kınalızade Ali Çelebi’nin
eseri olan Ahlâk-ı Alâî’, yazarının olgunluk çağında kaleme alınmış olması bakımından da önem arz etmektedir.
Osmanlı müelliflerinin, o zamana kadarki İslâm medeniyetinin bilgi birikiminden faydalanarak ortaya koydukları telif ve
tercüme eserler, 16. asırda ve sonrasında, hem millî hayatımızda hem de Batı’da alaka ile takip edilmiştir. Eserin çok sayıda
yazmaları içinde yirmi civarında metin Avrupa kütüphanelerinde bulunmaktadır.
Hülasa; hazırlamakta olduğumuz bildiride, hayatta karşılaşılabilecek bin bir türlü hâlin izahı ve belalardan kurtulmanın
Osmanlı cemiyetindeki derman ve çarelerine dair kitabın öğrettikleri, günümüze mesajlar verecek tarzda değerlendirilmeye
çalışılacaktır.
Çok sayıda yazması arasından inceleme yaparak yeni harflerimize kazandırmış ve üzerinde bir sözvarlığı çalışması
da yapmış olan Doç. Dr. Enfel Doğan’ın çevriyazı metni ile bir başka Arap harfli baskısını Latin alfabesine aktarmış
olan Prof. Dr. Fahri Unan’ın metnini, çalışmamıza hareket noktası olarak kabul etmekteyiz. Esere dair yazılmış bazı değerlendirmelerden
de faydalanmakla beraber esas niyetimiz, metnin bize bu gün için söylediklerini anlamak, tasnif etmek,
anlatmak ve yorumlamak olacaktır. Dünü “asrın idrakine söyletmenin” bir yolu da bu olsa gerektir.
Ahlâk-i Alâî’ and Ottoman Morality
Ahlâk-i Alâî’ which was written in the period of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman, the magnificent times of Ottoman Civilization,
has considered one of the religious, philosophical and moral nature classical works of the literature. This year is
the 450 th . anniversary of the writing of Ahlâk-i Alâî’, so we think that it will be a reason to reconsider and benefit from this
timeless literary work. It is important in terms of being drafted in the maturity period of Kınalızade Ali Çelebi who is the author
of Ahlâk-i Alâî’ was scholarly person rose up to the Kadi of Istanbul and Kadi-ul Asker of Anatolia which were the one
of the most important and high positions in the Ottoman Era. After 16 th century, the Ottoman author’s interpretation and
their copyright works emerged by benefiting from knowledge accumulation of the Islamic Civilization have been followed
with relevance both in our national life and in the West. Around the twenty texts in many writings of the work are available
in European libraries. Kınalızade Ali Çelebi was a knowledgeable and skilled person about fiqh and poetry. This study has
been prepared as a mention for the 450 th anniversary of writing of Ahlâk-i Alâî’ as well as to reconsider the “national-Islamic-humanitarian”
values which are valid and precious for every era and for our “past-still-future” plan. How was the order of
society in the past? What were the rules of family life? How were children raised? Which characteristics are needed to reach
the orders of the soul? How did human protect themselves from the damages of the laziness, lies, gossip, envy and animosity?
In this study, we evaluated the many events that encountered in life and the ways to get rid of the troubles in Ottoman
society by giving messages for today’s living. We inspired from the transcription text of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Enfel Doğan gave
us new letter by examining the work in terms of many writings. In addition, the study which was written by Prof. Dr. Fahri
Unan in Arabic translated into Latin letters had been a guide for our study. Also, we used some reviews written about the
work. The main goal of our study is to understand and interpret what this timeless and valuable work says to us for today
life. This is the one of the way to talk about past with century perception.
