Hat Sanatında Mushaf Kitâbeti ve Hasan Rıza Efendi Mushafları
Kur’an-ı Kerim metninin en güzel biçimde yazılması çabasının, hat sanatının gelişiminin seyrinde birinci sıradaki
etken olduğu âşikârdır. Bu bildiride mushaf yazma geleneğinin tarihi seyri içerisinde son dönem Osmanlı hattatlarından
ve dolayısıyla Osmanlı döneminde, mushaf yazımının geldiği noktanın son temsilcilerinden olan Hasan Rıza Efendi’nin
(1265/1849 – 1338/1920) ve onu değerli kılan en önemli vasıflarından olan yazdığı mushaflarının özelliklerinin, hat sanatında
mushaf kitâbetinin seyri bakımından ele alınıp değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Zirâ nesih yazı çeşidi ile mushaf
yazmak, kemâlin son mertebesine onun elinde varmıştır denilmektedir.
Bunun için öncelikle mushaf kitâbetinin tarihi seyri kısaca ele alınarak, ardından, Hasan Rıza Efendi’nin ömrü
boyunca yazdığı 19 adet mushaftan, yeri ve görselleri tespit edilebilen 4 tanesi, kendi yazısının gelişim mukayesesi de yapılarak,
özellikleriyle birlikte değerlendirilecektir. Kaynaklarda Hasan Rıza Efendi’ye asıl şöhretini kazandırdığı belirtilen
mushafları ise taş baskı tekniği ile basılmak üzere yazdığı mushaflarıdır. Bu mushafların en önemli özelliği ise hıfza çalışanlara
kolaylık olması bakımından genellikle ayetberkenar tertible yazılmış olmalarıdır. Dolayısıyla Hasan Rıza Efendi’nin
sadece Osmanlı devrindeki basımlarıyla sınırlı olmayıp, günümüze dek basımı devam ettiği bilinen matbu mushaflarının
mevcudiyeti nedeniyle, onun mushaflarının mushaf basım faaliyetlerinin tarihsel süreci içerisindeki yeri de tespit edilmeye
ve değerlendirilmeye çalışılacaktır.
Sonuç olarak, mushaf kitabetinin tarihî seyrinde ve Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun son döneminde yazdığı mushaflarla
şöhret bulan, devrin son ve en önemli temsilcisi olan hattatlardan biri olan Hasan Rıza Efendi’nin, hem mushaf
kitâbeti seyrindeki hem de hat sanatındaki yeri ve öneminin anlaşılmasına katkıda bulunulmuş olunacaktır.
Mushaf Writing and Hasan Riza Efendi`s Mushafs in the Art of Calligraphy
The effort put forward to write the Holy Qur’an in the most beautiful way is evidently most important factor in
the course of the development of calligraphy. In this paper it is aimed to assess and discuss the progression of the art of
calligraphy through the mushafs written by Hasan Rıza Efendi ( 1265/1849 – 1338/1920 ), one of the last calligraphers of the
representatives of mushaf writing in late Ottoman era characterizing the best achievable level obtained at that course of
the time. It is argued that the ultimate level of mushaf writing was reached by him in terms of Nesih (Qalam an-nash, al-Hatt
an-nash) style of writing.
For this purpose, a brief course of the history of the Qur`an writing was initially dealt with. Following, the four
hand-written mushafs produced by Hasan Rıza Efendi whose location and images were determined among 19 Mushafs
written by him were evaluated by making the comparison of his personal development through his own works. Hasan Riza
Efendi is said to provide the main source of his fame in the mushafs written to be printed by lithography technique. The
most important feature of these mushafs thanks to the ayetberkenar writing style is the convenience and easiness that they
provide to those who aims to memorize the Holy Quran. After all, due to not only his limited printings in Ottoman period
but also the presence of his printed mushafs until today, the importance and the role of his mushafs in the historical process
of Qur`an printing operations are presented and evaluated.
As a result, it is hoped and believed that an important contribution can be made to clarify and emphasize in
understanding the role and the importance of Hasan Rıza Efendi in both calligraphy and the historical trend of Quranic
writing as being one of the most outstanding representatives of the last period of the Ottoman Empire calligraphy.
