Türk Makam Müziğinde Kullanılan “Hampartzum Notası”nın Günümüz Notasyonuna Örüntü
İşleme Teknikleri İle Çevirisinin Sağlanması İçin Bir Model Tasarımı
19. yüzyıl başında, III. Sultan Selim’in isteği ve desteği ile Ermeni asıllı büyük müzisyen Hampartzum Limonciyan
tarafından geliştirilmiş olan Hampartzum nota sistemi; Türk Makam müziğinde ve Gregoryen Kilisesi dini müziğinde
yaygın bir kullanıma sahiptir. Hampartzum nota sistemi ile yazılmış eserlerin günümüz nota sistemine çevrilmesi Osmanlı
yazılı müzik kaynaklarının günümüze aktarılması kültür mirasımız açısından önem arz etmektedir.
Hampartzum notasının kullandığı işaretler ile oluşturulan müzik ve nota anlayışı bugünkünden tümüyle farklılık
gösterdiğinden unutulmak üzeredir. Resmi kaynaklarda tespit edilen nota defterleri el yazması olduğu için okunması
uzmanlık alan bilgisi gerektirmektedir. Bu alanda yetişmiş nitelikli eleman azlığı ve ekonomik bir anlam taşımaması nedeniyle
o dönemdeki müzik kültür tarihimiz giderek unutulmaktadır.
Bu çalışmada, yaklaşık iki yüzyıl boyunca kullanılan Hampartzum nota sistemini ve o zamanki müzik anlayışını
günümüz nota sistemi ve müzik anlayışının hizmetine sunabilmek amacıyla örüntü tanıma ve yapay zekâ teknikleriyle
günümüz nota sistemine çevrilmesi amaçlanarak bir model gerçekleştirilmiştir.
El yazısı tanıma ve karakter işleme ile oluşturulacak veri tabanından elde edilecek bilgiler aynı zamanda bilgi
havuzu oluşturacaktır. Böylelikle hem defterleri kaleme almış hem de bestecileri belli olmayan eserlerin kime ait olduğuna
dair yaklaşık tahminler sunabilecektir.
Bir diğer kazanım ise o döneme ait olan fakat günümüzde icra edilen örnekleri karşılaştırabilme imkânı sağlayacağından
Osmanlı’dan günümüze müzik tarihinin aydınlatılmasını kolaylaştıracaktır. Kullanılan bu yöntem aynı zamanda
Osmanlı dönemine kullanılan fakat unutulmaya yüz tutan diğer nota sistemlerinin de okunmasına yönelik bir başlangıç
teşkil edebilecektir.
A Model for Providing Transcription of “Hampartzum Notation” Used in Turkish Makam Music
into Today’s Notation by Using Pattern Processing Techniques
The Hampartzum notation system having been developed by a great Armenian musician Hampartzum Limonciyan
during the early 19 th century with the request and support of Sultan Selim III is still extensively in use by the Turkish
Makam Music and religious music of the Gregorian Church. Transcription of the works written by the Hampartzum notation
system into the present note system and conveying of the Ottoman writing music resources in today’s our modern
world are both important in terms of our cultural heritage. As the music created with the use of signs of Hampartzum note
and the music understanding differs entirely from today, they are on the verge of being forgotten. Music books that have
been identified in the official sources are in the form of a manuscript, so that reading them requires expertise. The history
of music culture at that time has been increasingly forgotten due to the lack of qualified personnel trained in this field and
not having an economic value.
In this study, a model has been designed with the aim of putting of the Hampartzum notation system used for
nearly two centuries and music understanding of that time at the present note system and music understanding’s disposal
and also it has been aimed to transcribe the Hampartzum note into the today’s music system by using pattern recognition
and artificial intelligence techniques.
Data obtained from the database that will be created with handwriting recognition and character processing will
create an information pool at the same time. Thus, some predictions as to both the authors and composers of the books that
are not certain are able to be made.
Another gain is that it will provide an opportunity to compare samples belonging to that period but are still
performed today and it will also facilitate the clarification of the history of music dating back to the Ottoman Empire to the
present day. The method used can also establish a precedent in reading other musical note systems that were used in the
Ottoman period but today fall into oblivion.
