Osmanlı Devleti’nin Kafkasya Siyaseti (1918)
Bu bildiride Osmanlı Devleti’nin 1918 yılı içerisinde Kafkasya Cephesi’ndeki faaliyetleri, yeni kurulan Sovyet-Rusya
ve Maverâ-yı Kafkasya bunun dışında İngiltere ile olan ilişkileri ele alınacaktır. Bildiride Rus ihtilalleri, I. Dünya Savaşı
sonunda Rusya ile imzalanan mütarekeler, Brest-Litovsk Antlaşması, Trabzon ve Batum Konferansları, Türk ordusunun ileri
harekâtı, Doğu Anadolu, Elviye-i Selâse ve 1878 sınırı ötesinde savaş sonuna Ermenistan, Azerbaycan ve İran’daki askerî
gelişmeler, I. Dünya Savaşı’nı sona erdiren Mondros Mütarekesi neticesinde Osmanlı Devleti’nin Kafkasya’yı tahliyesi ve
İngiltere’nin Kafkasya’yı işgali üzerinde durulacaktır. Bu dönem çeşitli araştırmalara konu edilmesine rağmen bildiride
yeni arşiv belgelerinin ışığında daha önce üzerinde durulmayan meselelere değinilecektir. Ayrıca konu hakkında yazıları
bulunan yazarların konu hakkındaki görüşleri de tartışılacaktır.
Bildiri hazırlanırken Genelkurmay ATASE Arşivi, Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi, Türkiye İnkılâp Tarihi Enstitüsü
Arşivi, the National Archives, dönemin ulusal basını (Ati, Tanin, Tasvir-i Efkâr, Sabah, Vakit vb.), yabancı basın (Boston
Daily Globe, Chicago Daily Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, The Times vb.) ve
araştırma inceleme eserler kullanılacaktır.
The Ottoman State’s Politics of Caucasus (1918)
In this paper, the activities of the Ottoman Empire in the Caucasus Front in 1918, its relationships with the newly
formed Soviet Russia, Transcaucasia and the UK will be discussed. Moreover Russian revolutions, the armistices signed
with Russia at the end of the First World War, the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, Trabzon and Batum Conferences, advanced
operations of the Turkish army, Eastern Anatolia, Elviye-i Selâse, and at the end of the war the military developments in
Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran beyond the borders of 1878, the evacuation of the Ottoman Empire in the Caucasus and the
invasion of Caucasus by the UK as a result of the Mudros Armistice, which ended the First World War in the region will be
focused on. Although the period has been the subject of several investigations before, new issues will be emphasized in the
light of new archival documents. Also the opinions of the authors who writes about the subject will be discussed.
While preparing the paper the General Staff ATASE Archives, the Prime Ministry Ottoman Archives, Turkey Revolution
History Institute Archives, the National Archives, the national press of the period (Ati, Tanin, Tasvir-i Efkâr, Sabah,
Vakit etc.), foreign press (Boston Daily Globe, the Chicago Daily Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times,
New York Times, the Times, etc.) and the research and analysis works will be used.
