This section includes information and requirements for the identification and marking of underground utilities. These utilities include but are not limited to: electric wires, telecommunications, grounding systems, cathodic protection systems, and pipes for gas, water, steam, condensate, chilled water, hot water, condenser water, glycol, fuel oil, jet fuel, storm drains, sewers, irrigation and water. PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.1 UTILITY MARKER A. The utility marker shall be flat survey marker made of brass, three inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick. It shall be a Lietz model 8134-08 or approved equal. B. Contractor shall submit a list of the markers with Marker No., location, and ID to the Engineer for approval before engraving markers. 2.2 GROUT A. Grout shall be non-shrink equal to Embeco or Sikagrout. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 GENERAL A. This Part is intended to provide information for certain of Owner’s project construction requirements. The Contractor shall review this Part and incorporate applicable information into the <strong>Construction</strong> Bid Documents. B. When conducting underground work, if existing underground utilities that have not been previously marked are located, the Contractor shall provide utility markers as required in this Section. The Contractor shall also include these utilities on the Record Drawings. C. When working at a location with underground utility markers, any markers that are removed or covered up shall be replaced.
