D. Fire-alarm system will be considered defective if it does not pass tests and inspections.
E. Prepare test and inspection reports.
F. Maintenance Test and Inspection: Perform tests and inspections listed for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and
semiannual periods. Use forms developed for initial tests and inspections.
G. Annual Test and Inspection: One year after date of Substantial Completion, test fire-alarm system
complying with visual and testing inspection requirements in NFPA 72 “National Fire Alarm Code”. Use
forms developed for initial tests and inspections.
H. Five bound copies of complete Operations and Maintenance Manuals shall be provided as part of the
close out of the work. These manuals shall include the following as a minimum:
1. Index of the enclosed materials
2. Copies of approved drawings
3. List of recommended spare parts
4. Printout of the final copy of the system program
5. Record drawings
6. Operation, maintenance and repair procedures from the manufacturer
7. Copy of the signed and completed “Record of Completion Form” as described in
NFPA 72
