501070099 Federal Express Oakland Sort Expansion Issued for Bid 10/11 SECTION 13010 – GENERAL PROVISIONS – LOW TEMPERATURE INSULATION PART 1 – GENERAL The Requirements of the Contract Forms, the Conditions of the Contract, and Division 1 shall apply to this Section except as herein modified. It is the intent of this Specification to have all the work specified in Division 13 and Section 06170 be performed under the responsibility of a single low-temperature specialty Contractor. Contractors submitting quotations for the work of Division 13 must be pre-qualified and approved by the Engineer prior to submission of quotations. 1.1 SCOPE A. Work required under this Division includes all labor, materials, tools and equipment and supervision necessary for installation of all low temperature insulation work required on this project as detailed on the drawings and as herein specified, or as required by good installation practice to make a complete and operational system. B. The drawings are generally indicative of the work to be installed but do not necessarily show all sealant locations, flashing seals, connections, etc. as may be required to meet actual conditions. Contractors invited to submit proposals for this Division are considered to be specialists with specific knowledge and experience in low temperature building work. Inadvertent omissions or ambiguities in the plans and/or specifications shall be brought to the Engineer's attention prior to bid time. Additional monies will not be authorized for changes in the work if the changes are due to inadvertent omissions or ambiguities which should have been recognized by the specialty Contractor during his bid preparations by virtue of his expertise. 1.2 RELATED WORK 1.3 CODES A.
