SECTION 01112 - SAFETY AND SECURITY REQUIREMENTS
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 SUMMARY
A. This Section includes the Contractor’s responsibilities to comply with Federal Express’ safety and security
requirements and with all TSA security requirements.
1.2 REFERENCES
A. The latest edition of the following references shall apply:
1. OSHA “Occupational Safety and Health Administration”, U.S. Department of Labor

E. Comply with safety and health standards, regulations and orders issued under state and Federal Express
status.
1. Comply with Federal Express’ safety and security requirements and applicable OSHA
requirements when on Federal Express’ premises. Ensure that employees:
a. Comply with OSHA work and record keeping requirements in 29 CFR parts 1910 and 1926.
b. Understand and follow Federal Express’ safety and security requirements as described in
Appendix D: FedEx Contractor Safety Requirements.
F. No one within the Contractor’s control shall enter or remain upon the site if, in the Construction Manager’s
or Federal Express’ opinion, they would create a hazard to aircraft or operations.
