Glossary of Terms Glossary of Terms A B C D E F G H I L M N O P R S T U W X Access Rights All Fade (AF) AMX192 Application Software Archive ASCII Remote Input ATC Pages At Time Macros If Logins are set on in the 220node.cfg file, access to the system functions is controlled according to the user name and password entered in the login screen. The access rights are set by the Admin user in the Access Rights Screen. A cue which fades all channels on all X playbacks to the given levels. An All Fade cue can only have one part. Abbreviated as AF. See also Move Fade, Cross Fade and Cue. A type of analog multiplexed signal used for controlling dimmers and other devices. The AMX192 standard for the analog multiplex transmission of levels is defined by USITT, and supports a maximum of 192 signals per cable. There is 1 AMX192 output connector on the console, labelled AMX. Optional software applications that add functionality to <strong>GeniusPro</strong>/<strong>Lightpalette</strong>, e. g., CommuniquéPro, Tracker, Networker, Shownet and Showport. Transfer of recorded data to, or from, the console to a floppy disk, hard disk, or server or to a printer. Allows most facilities of the console to be remotely controlled using a serial, RS232 or RS485, communications protocol. The controlling equipment could be any computer (PC or Mac) or a dedicated show controller. Attribute Channels. Available when Tracker software is installed. Sets the groups of attributes of a fixture controlled by the rotaries. Pressing the left and right unmarked keys above the trackball, changes the attributes controlled by the rotaries. Up to 4 macros that can be set to run automatically run at predetermined times. Attribute Audio Input Macro Audio Threshold Supermaster A channel type as set up in the patch. This controls an attribute of a fixture rather than its intensity level, for example its colour, pan, tilt etc. See also channel A macro set in the Console Setup Screen which is run from the audio bass beat. Only available when CommuniquéPro software is loaded. A submaster fader set to control the sensitivity of the Audio Input. The Audio Input can be used to control the stepping of an effect. Glossary of Terms Auto Channel Paging Auto Go Auto Hold Mode When set to on, setting a channel level automatically pages the display to show the channel, or in the case of the Patch display in output order, to show the output Automatically starts the next cue on completion of the current cue. See also wait time. Setup option. When on channels cannot be “stolen” from the Channel Control by cues, subs, and effects. Auto Move While Dark Blackout Blackout Cue Blind Recording Block Cue (BL) Bump button Show Setup option. When on, scrollers and other moving fixtures move to new positions at the end of a cue while the fixtures are dark. A lighting state where all intensity channel levels are off. Attributes are not affected. You can create a blackout by running cue 0 (a permanent blackout cue), by setting the grand master fader to zero, by pressing [STOP] (having set it to 'Blackout' in the User Setup Screen), by pressing [REM DIM] twice with no channels selected, or by pressing [*] [@] [*] or [1] [THRU] [LAST] [@] [0] while in the Live display. The first cue in the cue sheet is called the blackout cue and is numbered cue 0. This is an All Fade cue with all intensity levels and times of 0; it does not affect attributes. It cannot be modified or deleted. The process of recording submasters, cues, effects, or groups without the results showing on stage. See also preview and live A cue into which channels do not track. In a tracking system, this ensures that all channels are forced to known levels when this cue is run, regardless of any changes made in cues before it. Channels set in a block cue track to later cues. See also soft block and hard block. A button associated with each submaster fader which flashes the submaster to a preset level. See also flash and solo. Also a soft key available when the Live screen is displayed which flashes the currently selected channels. The {BUMP SUB} softkey on the 510i LCD display bumps the currently selected submaster Bump mode Circuit The current operational mode of the bump buttons, set using [BUMP MODE] and the bump mode buttons that appear in the centre LCD (consoles with 3 LCD displays) or right LCD (consoles with 2 LCD displays).
