God: so that your Franciscus who died 1495 could not come of Seaton of the family of
Dumforling, since he died 100 years before that family was extant. My Lord Pitmedden
had ane old manuscript of the family of the Seatons And was at the paines to read it over
in his bibliotheque, but could find nothing of what I was enquyring, tho he thinks he might 25
come of a branch of the famely called Parbroth who was a brother of the Lord Seatons
