Interpretive Criteria:
or =1:8 Indicates immunity due to prior exposure to Rubeola.
Measles antibody titers greater than or equal to 1:8 generally indicate immunity to Rubeola infection.
However, asymptomatic reinfection can occur in persons who have previously developed antibodies
following vaccination or natural disease. Symptomatic reinfections are rare. These reinfections have been
accompanied by rises in measles antibody titers.
This assay was developed and its performance characteristics have been determined by Focus
Diagnostics. It has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The FDA has
determined that such clearance or approval is not necessary. Performance characteristics refer to the
analytical performance of the test.
