anti-Diem groups and had established contacts outside
of South Vietnam with other centers of resistance,
such as supporters of the deposed emperor, Bao Dai,
in phnom Penh, Cambodia, and anti-Diem dissidents
in Paris, France. This close relationship also allowed
the NLF (and Hanoi as well) to keep a close eye on dissident
activity, especially coup plots.
