L’angiogénèse est le processus biologique par lequel se développent des réseaux de vaisseauxsanguins, à partir de vaisseaux pré-existants. Ce processus est souhaitable, voire fondamental,lors du développement de l’embryon et de sa maturation, ou lors de la cicatrisation de blessures parexemple. Par contre, c’est aussi un moyen utilisé par les tumeurs cancéreuses solides pour survivreet continuer à se développer. On sait aussi depuis peu que l’angiogénèse tumorale est le mécanismepar lequel sopère la metastase cancereuse, étape ultime et léthale du cancer. Depuis quelquesannées, des chercheurs oncologues ont émis l’idée que l’empêchement de l’angiogénèse, ou antiangiogénèse,pourrait apporter de nouveaux espoirs de traitement du cancer. Divers moyens peuventêtre mis en oeuvre pour cela, et certain s médicaments basés sur cette approche sont en cours detests, donnant des résultats spectaculaires sur des cobayes. Pour envisager son application aux humains,cette approche -et les phénomènes inhérents- doit être bien comprise et bien maîtrisée par leschercheurs. Notre étude se propose de contribuer à la compréhension de l’interaction entre facteursd’angiogénèse et facteurs d’inhibition de celle-ci. Pour cela, nous proposons un modèle simple issu dela physique des milieux poreux, couplé à un modèle d’élasticité linéaire, pour représenter la tumeur etle tissu biologique hôte. La tumeur cherche à se fabriquer un réseau de vaisseaux le mieux pour elle,tandis que le tissu hôte cherche à se protéger de la dégradation de matière opérée par des enzymessecretées par la tumeur. Cette situation se prête parfaitement à une modélisation par la théorie desjeux, dans laquelle les joueurs sont la tumeur et le tissu élastique, et les stratégies sont respectivementla densité d’activateurs et celle d’inhibiteurs d’angiogénèse. Les résultats numériques obtenus(pour une variante à somme nulle) montrent une organisation à l’équilibre non triviale des inhibiteurs,et l’apparition de canaux (pour la porosité) et non de structures artérielles bien organisées.KEYWORDS :MOTS-CLÉS :25 TAMTAM –Tunis– 2005
