If they do notspend this amount, the land can betaken away. O governo do Estado doMato Grosso do Sul, concedeu à MMX osdireitos sobre a terra para o complexosiderúrgico, com a necessidade decontrapartida de investimento da MMXde gastar US$150.000.000 durante cincoanos para desenvolver dos seus projetos.Se a MMX não investir esta quantia, aterra pode ser retomada. A construçãodo Projeto A ainda não foi iniciada.229
