mention, especially since the ballooning literature
on the »New Keynesian Phillips Curve«
is one which students are increasing likely
to stumble across. In terms of supporting
material, the book is extremely thorough in its
provision of exercises at the end of every
chapter – sometimes up to 6 or 7 pages’ worth.
On the other hand, it lacks »suggestions for
further reading« sections, and even lacks a list
of references at the end, references being pro-
vided through footnotes. Maybe the authors
felt they had been so exhaustive in their coverage
that students would have no need or
desire to read more; something which is quite
possibly true!
Overall, then, this is a major contribution to
the advanced undergraduate macroeconomics
textbook market, one of impressive quality
and thoroughness, and it is unlikely to have
any serious rivals for a long time to come.
