Study on `Impact of Restructuring of SEBs’
DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
The following tables show the overall similarity in position of the DISCOMs from the
pre-restructuring period wherein the DISCOMs faced severe power shortages and had
to shed the load in order to maintain grid discipline. Also, the financial parameters
reflect that nothing substantial has been done to turnaround the financial health of the
DISCOMs during the last seven years of implementation of reforms in the State.
