Tripartite agreement has been signed between Government of Tamil Nadu, Central Government and Reserve Bank of India on 20 March 2003 to convert outstanding loan of Rs 1962.14 crore as on 30 September 2001 to Central Public Sector Units and securitisation has been completed. RLDC’s instructions are carried out immediately. Further, as per instructions of RLDC, AVAILABILITY BASED TARIFF is in force from 1 January 2003 and hence quality and stable power is supplied to customers. Energy conservation cell has already been formed. Cell has been formed to supervise the demand side management and an officer has been appointed for each electricity distribution circle for DMS. As a first step, State level Reforms Committee meeting reviewed the
