‘Data Format’ Tab (TIFF, TIFF/IT)
Use output intent embedded in PDF file
PDF documents may have an ICC output profile embedded. When you
process PDF files and this option is enabled, the embedded profile is
automatically used for describing the output intent of the PDF/X file. The
same is true for any textual information on the output intent.
Please note that this profile is only a piece of information and does not
modify the color data – in contrast to the USE OUTPUT PROFILE EMBEDDED
IN PDF FILE option in the ICC PARAMETERS dialog on the COLOR CORREC-
TION tab (see page 3-9). See also Output Intent above.
This option is only available if the current layout was created from a PDF
document with an embedded ICC profile. The profile is extracted during
PDF import and stored with the layout.
ICC profile, Description, Information
Use these parameters to define the output intent of the PDF/X file. This
includes the following specifications:
ICC PROFILE
Profile characterizing the intended output device associated with the
PDF/X document. Note that this is only an information which does not
make any changes to the color data. See also Output Intent above.
DESCRIPTION
Textual description of the output conditions (optional).
INFORMATION

Additional notes for the recipient of the PDF/X document (optional).
