Using Images
Opening Images
Selecting Images by File Name
Method 1
1. Select FILE | OPEN IMAGE, or press +SHIFT+O (Mac OS) or
CTRL+SHIFT+O (Windows). A file selection dialog appears.
2. Make sure the image format you want or ALL FILES is selected on the
list labeled SHOW (Mac OS) or FILES OF TYPE (Windows). Only the
files corresponding to the selected format appear in the list.
If the format is EPS, select EPS, DCS to open the high-res data or
EPS PREVIEW to open the preview (if available).
3. Browse for the image or enter its name, then click OPEN. You can also
select several images and open all of them at the same time.
Method 2
1. Click to open the current image overview. If your image does not
appear there, use OPEN OVERVIEW in the MENU window to select another
directory.
2. If the image is extremely large and your main memory rather small,
you may want to load the image with a reduced resolution. In this
case enable the LOAD COARSE option in the MENU window.
3. Select LIST in the MENU window. This opens a window listing all images
with their file names and additional details. To open an image,
double-click on the list item. See also page 11-17.

This list displays all images stored in the selected directory. A plus sign
in the USED column indicates that this mask is used on the current layout.
To open an image, double-click a list item or click it once and select OK.
You can sort the columns by clicking a column header.
