Scaling With Handles
You can scale objects by dragging any of the 8 resize handles displayed
at the object’s outline or bounding box. Hold the SHIFT key pressed down
to maintain proportions.
The handle opposite to that which is being moved remains fixed. By
moving a handle beyond this fixed point you can mirror an object.
Note: The cursor form changes to (Mac OS) or (Windows) when the
cursor is positioned on a handle. If the cursor is not displayed like this,
the object will be moved.
If the resize handles aren’t visible, end the current function by clicking on
the layout or reselecting the button on the TRANSFORMATIONS toolbar. If
the rotation handles are displayed, click on the object to change them
to resize handles .
