Using Guides
Modifying Guides
Method 1
Enter the values on the keyboard (direct input, see page 29-7) in the order
indicated below. Press RETURN/ENTER after each input. The current
parameter is displayed in the STATUS window.
1. Horizontal distance between grid points (W1)
2. Vertical distance between grid points (W2)
3. Horizontal snap area (d1)
4. Vertical snap area (d2)
5. Coordinate of lower left grid corner (origin point)
Method 2
The current parameter is indicated in the STATUS window. If you do not
want to modify it, click to select the next. Otherwise do the following:
1. SHIFT-click on the layout.
2. Move the mouse vertically. The value corresponding to the current
mouse position is indicated in the window’s status bar.
3. Click the (left) mouse button to use this value.
4. The next parameter is selected automatically and can be modify in
the same way.
Modifying Guides
Guides can be modified in the following ways:
• Correct
Position, circle radius, number of grid lines etc. can be modified,
provided that the guide creation function is still active.
• Deactivate
Inactive guides disappear from the screen and the cursor no longer
snaps to them.
• Switch off display
Guides disappear from the screen, but the cursor still snaps to them.
• Switch off snapping
Guides remain visible, but the cursor no longer snaps to them.
• Delete
Guides are removed irrevocably (no undo!)
Inactive guides can be reactivated at any time. Snapping can be
switched on again at any time. Deleted guides, however, cannot be undeleted.
