Creating Guides
Horizontal and Vertical Guides
1. Select GUIDES | HORIZONTAL or VERTICAL.
A guide appears which you can move with the mouse.
2. Click on the layout to position the guide.
Alternatively, enter the horizontal or vertical position on the keyboard
(direct input, see page 29-7).
3. If necessary, change the default snap area (see page 6-4).
4. Repeat step 2 to create additional horizontal or vertical guides.
Inclined Guides
1. Select GUIDES | INCLINED.
2. Click on the layout to specify the first base point. Alternatively, enter
the point’s coordinate on the keyboard (direct input, see page 29-7).
A guide appears which you can move and rotate with the mouse.
3. Click on the layout to define the inclination angle. Alternatively, enter
the angle on the keyboard (direct input).
4. If necessary, change the default snap area (see page 6-4).
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to create additional inclined guides.
Circular Guides
1. Select GUIDES | CIRCULAR.
2. Click on the layout to define the center of the circle. Or enter the
coordinate on the keyboard (direct input).
3. Define the radius by doing one of the following:
• Enter the value on the keyboard (direct input).
• Click on the layout, move the mouse vertically, then click again.
4. If necessary, change the default snap area (see page 6-4).
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to create additional circular guides.
