Correcting Tone Values
The histogram shows the distribution of tonal values in the image. The
higher the peaks, the more frequent is a tonal value.
Displaying Four Separation Curves
Using the function ALL/SEPArate you can toggle between
• one display area for all color separations – and
• four display areas, one for each color separation (see figure below).
We recommend to use the one-area display. The four-area display is
useful for an overview of all color separations, but not very suitable for
precise changes.
If you want to modify a specific separation, use the display area that corresponds
to this separation (see below). If several separations are modified
at the same time (e.g. C, M and Y), it does not matter which of the
display areas to use.

Correcting Tone Values
1. In the TONE CORRECTION window (see above), select the color separation(s)
you want to modify. Click e.g. CMYK to change all four separations
of a CMYK image or click C to change only the Cyan separation.
For more details refer to Selecting Color Separations (page 25-3).
2. Use the toggle function ALL/SEPArate to determine how curves are
displayed:
• One display area for all color separations (recommended) – or
• Four display areas, one for each color separation (see Fig. 25-7)
