Special Retouching Options
Retouching Single Color Separations
Use the buttons shown on the right to select the color
separations you want to modify. A separation is modified
if the corresponding button is pressed down.
By default, all four separations are selected. However,
in the case of grayscale images, you can only modify
the black separation.
Transparent Retouching, Darkening, Brightening
Retouching in an OPAQUE way is the default setting. This list allows you
to select the following special retouching methods:
Transparency
With this option colors are modified, but the brightness remains the
same. Thus image outlines are preserved. Colors on which white or
black color is brushed are converted into grayscales.
Note:
Transparent retouching on black or white color has no effect, as these
colors cannot be modified without changing their brightness.
Darken/Lighten
With these options you can make the image darker or brighter for the selected
color, thereby preserving the image outlines.
Retouching with Fading Effect
You can brush in a way that the color becomes gradually invisible or
shades into another color. Repeatedly select FADE in the MENU window
to toggle between three fade settings.
The current setting is displayed in the STATUS window:
FADE OFF
No fading is applied.
FADE TRANSPARent
FADE COLOR 2
The color becomes gradually invisible.
The color blends into a second color. The
second color is specified using 2. COLOR
or 2. IMAGE COLOR in the MENU window.
