Creating Text and Headlines

You can apply type styles to selected text in almost any combination.
However, UNDERLINE and WORD UNDERLINE, ALL CAPS and SMALL CAPS,
and SUPERSCRIPT and SUBSCRIPT are mutually exclusive styles.
A gray check box indicates that a style has been applied to at least one
character, but not all characters, in selected text.
Some styles are also available on the TEXT EDITOR toolbar (see
page 12-3). In the descriptions that follow, the corresponding toolbar
button is shown for such styles.
Plain
Automatically deselects all other type styles.
Bold
Accesses the bold version of the current font (if installed) or simulates
bolding.
Italic
Accesses the italic version of the current font (if installed) or simulates
italic.
Outline
Outlines characters.
Strike through
Draws a 1-point line through characters.
Superior
Raises characters so their ascents align with the cap height of the current
font.
Underline
Underlines all characters and spaces.
Word underline
Underlines all characters except spaces.
Subscript
Offsets characters below the baseline by 33%.
Superscript
Offsets characters above the baseline by 33%.
All caps
Changes all lowercase letters to uppercase letters.
