How to Create Smooth Text

Note that you can only use a single, horizontal text line. All characters
must be on the same baseline.
Tip:
The fastest way to activate all text paths is to draw a selection rectangle
around them. Alternatively, select ELEMENT in the MENU window
to switch to the GROUP mode, then click one of the text paths.
4. When all elements are active, double-click one of them or select the
PATHS | TRANSFORM function. The TRANSFORMATIONS toolbar appears
(see also page 19-1).
5. Click on the button. The text adjusts to the active path(s) and the
SMOOTH TEXT toolbar appears.
You can use the same button to close and reopen this toolbar.
6. Using the toolbar you can now move the text along the path and
transform it in many ways. The way to do this varies according to the
number of paths (1 or 2) and their type (line or closed outline).

7. General instructions for most of these transformations:
There are points which act as handles.
The selected point is marked by a frame .
Drag any of these points to transform the text. Or SHIFT-click to
position the selected point.
