Replacing Dummy Text With Actual Text
ORIS PDF Tuner allows you to export the dummy text areas on a layout
to Multitext LS systems (by Multicom GmbH) and to reimport the actual
text created on these systems into an ORIS PDF Tuner layout.
The outline and typesetting parameters of all dummy text areas on a layout
are stored in a so-called GEO file. This is a file with the extension GEO
and the full path name of the ORIS PDF Tuner layout. Please note that
text displacements (runarounds) are not taken into account when the
GEO file is created (see page 14-8).
Note:
Please contact CGS if you are interested in this functionality. CGS has
to set up your system accordingly, e.g. define the location where GEO
files are stored.
Having imported the GEO file into the Multitext LS layout, the outlines of
the dummy text areas appear and can be filled with text. When finished,
the layout must be converted to PostScript format and then imported into
the corresponding ORIS PDF Tuner layout e.g. using FILE | IMPORT PDF
OR POSTSCRIPT. See also Importing PDF and PostScript Files (page
2-1).
GEO files can also be imported into ORIS PDF Tuner layouts using the
FILE | INSERT LAYOUT function. In the file selection dialog, make sure you
select the file type GEO FILES so that GEO files are displayed in the file
list.
