Exporting Layouts
General Export Parameters
Pages with more than 255 colors in linework, text or tint elements can
only be exported to the following formats:
• PDF, PostScript, EPS (including the flat formats)
• Scitex Handshake with *.NLW file
• TIFF/IT or Scitex Handshake without *.LW file
• TIFF and JPEG
The maximum number of linework colors supported for Flat PostScript
format is limited to 65536.

Select the format to which you want to convert the ORIS PDF Tuner
layout. The following output formats are available:
• PDF
• Flat PDF
• PostScript
• Flat PS
• EPS or DCS
• Flat EPS or DCS
• JPEG
• TIFF
• TIFF/IT *
• Scitex Handshake *
Use EXPORT A COPY to save the current layout under a new name without
opening the duplicate. Specify the new path name using the TARGET DI-
RECTORY box (see also page 5-5). The current layout will be saved automatically
in order to achieve consistency.
The formats marked with an asterisk (*) require a separate software
license (see also page 32-17). If you have not acquired the license, the
respective output format is grayed out.
Layout name
Use this option to specify the name of the ORIS PDF Tuner layout to be
converted. The name of the current layout is used by default.
Destination
Use this option to specify the file name and save location of the page to
be created. The name of the current ORIS PDF Tuner layout and the file
extension of the new document format are used by default.
