Changing Dummy Text Color
The default color of dummy text is black (K100). You can modify the color
as follows:
1. Activate the dummy text layer.
2. Click or select LAYER | TINT.
You cannot use gradients for dummy text. The high resolution would
be lost and the text would become illegible.
3. Choose a new color (see page 10-8).
Duplicating Dummy Text Layers
Note:
1. Activate the dummy text layer.
2. Select DUPLICATE in the MENU window (see also page 16-9).
3. Position the layer and, if required, change the text area outlines.
See also Transformations (page 19-1).
Duplicated dummy text areas are automatically assigned with a new text
area name.
Changing Dummy Text Area Size/Shape
To modify the path defining the text outline, activate the dummy text layer
(see page 16-1), then select one of the following functions on the MENU
window:
• LAYER PATH (cannot be applied to multiple layers)
This starts the function that was used for creating the path defining
the outline of the text area. For more details refer to page 16-7.
• TRANSFORM (alternatively, double-click the layer)
This opens the TRANSFORMATIONS toolbar (see page 19-1).
All of your changes will only affect the text area outline, the typography
remains unchanged. The typography changes temporarily while
you are making changes. However, this affects only the screen display.
When finished, the text will be adjusted to the modified text area
outline and the original text parameters will be restored.
Modifying Dummy Text Contents
By default, the first lines of a dummy text contain the following information:
Width of text block, number of lines, area name or number, font
name, font size and leading. The rest of the text provides general information
about ORIS PDF Tuner.
