How to Modify Color Separations
1. Press F12 or select IMAGE | COLOR TRANSFORMATION.
2. Repeatedly select MODE in the MENU window until the SEPARATION
mode is active.
3. To modify the percentage by which a source separation is merged
into a target separation, select the source and target separation you
want. Do this by selecting a position within the table displayed in the
STATUS window (see Fig. 24-3):
• CTRL-click (Mac OS) or right-click (Windows to go to the next
table cell. Additionally press the SHIFT key to go to the previous
cell. You can thus step through the entire table.
• Use functions NEXT LINE/COLUMN in the MENU window to select
table cells within the same row or column, respectively.
4. Modify the percentage of the source color value. You can specify any
positive or negative value.
To do so, click on the image or select CHANGE VALUE in the MENU window.
Make sure the cursor is placed on the image, then hold SHIFT
and the mouse button pressed down and move the cursor vertically.
When the value you want is reached, click on the image or reselect
CHANGE VALUE.
Alternatively, enter the value on the keyboard (direct input).
In the table displayed in the STATUS window the next value becomes
active automatically. The modifications are represented as follows
there:
- value was decreased
+ value was increased
1 values is exactly 100%
(blank) value is exactly 0%
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to modify additional values.
6. When finished, press RETURN/ENTER or click .
