Note:
PDF version
Select the PDF version to be used for the output documents. Every PDF
version corresponds to a version of Adobe Acrobat.
If you create PDF/X files, the PDF version is set automatically in accordance
with the selected PDF/X standard. You may select a lower version
in some cases.
Make sure not to select an Acrobat version that is higher than the Distiller
version installed on your computer. Otherwise the PDF version will be
set automatically by Distiller. It may be different to the PDF version selected
in the ORIS program.

Compression
Use this parameter to compress the images used in a Flat PDF documents,
thus reducing file size. The following methods are available:
• ZIP (lossless)
• JPEG (lossy)
• JPEG2000 (not available for PDF/X)
Embed PostScript fonts
If this option is enabled, all PostScript fonts used in the documents being
processed will be embedded in the output documents. This increases file
size, but ensures that the documents can be output correctly even if the
fonts are not installed on the output device.
TrueType, OpenType and other non-PostScript fonts are always embedded
in the output document, regardless of how this option is set. This is
also true when exporting ORIS PDF Tuner layouts that use PostScript
fonts which are no longer available on the system.
When creating PDF/X-3 documents, this option is enabled automatically.
