Resolution
Enter the output resolution to be used for low-res page elements, i.e.
images and gradients.
ORIS PDF Tuner layers that are transparent, soft-edged, or modified by
a filter layer are also created in resolution.
Resolution
Enter the output resolution to be used for the files you are creating.
High resolution
Specify the output resolution to be used for high-res elements (tints,
texts and linework).
Internally, Flat PDF/PS/EPS documents consist of two elements only:
• CT (continuous tone)
An image formed by all of the low-res elements on the page. The resolution
used for these elements is displayed in the RESOLUTION box.
• LW (linework)
A linework element formed by all of the high-res objects on the page.
The resolution specified with the current option is used for this LW.
Specify the LW resolution by selecting a high-resolution factor, i.e. a multiple
of the CT resolution. Factor 1 does not produce any LW element. In
this case you should use ANTI-ALIASING (see page 3-37) to compensate
for the loss of quality. If no ANTI-ALIASING is used, jagged edges may occur
between high-res and low-res elements.
Layers that are transparent, soft-edged, or modified by a filter layer will
be created in low resolution.
High resolution factor
Specify the output resolution to be used for high-res elements (tints,
texts and linework).
TIFF/IT and Scitex Handshake documents consist of multiple files,
including the following:
• CT file (continuous tone)
An image formed by all of the low-res elements on the page. The resolution
used for these elements is displayed in the RESOLUTION box.
