On this layout, the man’s face is made unrecognizable using a pixelation
filter layer (mosaic filter) whose outline is defined by a rectangle.
The filter layer is then moved downwards and pixelates the new
layout area in the same way.
Creating Filter Layers
1. Define the outline of the filter layer by doing one of the following:
• Create or activate paths (see page 7-1 and 8-1)
• Paint or activate a mask on the layout (see page 22-14)
• Activate any layer, except dummy text (see page 16-1)
2. Depending on the image manipulation you want to use, select one of
the following functions on the LAYER menu:

If an image layer is used to define the outline, a duplicate of this layer
is created and placed on top of the image layer. Any trapping, soft
edges and transparency settings of the image layer are transferred to
the duplicate.
