Transformations
Description of ‘Transformations’ Toolbar
Distorts perspectively by rotating along the
horizontal ( ) or vertical ( ) axis
Moves, rotates or scales
according to modifier keys or mouse buttons
used
Fixed point
Defines the point that remains fixed when objects
are scaled, rotated, mirrored or distorted
Mirrors along the horizontal axis (left) or vertical
axis (right)
Fix 4 points
Positions, rotates or distorts using 4 points
Specify 4 points
Allows you to set the four points anywhere on the
object or on characteristic points.
‘P1/P4’ toolbar
Opens a toolbar which allows you to enter the
coordinates of these points and to fix the points at
their current position.
Modify background image...
• like a cutout (i.e. not clipped by its path)
• by modifying its path (the path that clips the
image is displayed on top of the image)
Transparency, trapping, soft edges
Opens a dialog for defining these properties
Smooth text
Adjusts text characters to the outline of any path
Ornaments
Changes paths into ornamental lines and boxes
Ornament baseline
Toggle function for setting such ornaments
above/below the baseline or inside/outside the
outline
