Using Images
Opening Images
To open or activate the (entire) low-res image, select COARSE IMAGE in
the MENU window.
Note:
Having modified and saved an image section (e.g. using the COLOR
GRADATION function), image parts that were not loaded will remain unchanged.
When you save the section under a new name, the new file will
consist only of the image section you have loaded.
Loading Neighboring Sections (‘Panning’)
Having loaded an image section using the FINE WINDOW function, you
can use the function NEIGHBOR to load neighboring areas. When selecting
this function, you are prompted to enter a number on the keyboard.
This number defines the direction you want to pan to.
Which number to enter is easy to find out when you take a look at the
numeric keypad (on the right-hand side of your keyboard). The way the
number keys are arranged there corresponds to the effect they have on
panning:
1 Pans to bottom left
7 8 9 2 Pans to bottom
3 Pans to bottom right
4 5 6 4 Pans to left
5 No panning
1 2 3
6 Pans to right
7 Pans to top left
8 Pans to top
9 Pans to top right
By default the current and the new image section overlap by 10%. If you
pan to the right (6), for example, the right 10% of the current section become
the left 10% of the new section.
To specify a different overlap area, enter a percentage value together
with the area number. If you enter 625, for example, the right 25% of the
current section become the left 25% of the new section. This means the
first number defines the position of the new section and the last two numbers
the percentage of the current area section should remain visible.
If you do not want the two sections to overlap, enter 00 as a percentage
value (e.g. 600).
Saving Images Loaded in Various Resolutions
If you have opened multiple windows of the same image (e.g. one loaded
in high resolution, the other in low resolution) and save modifications
