Functionality
ICC Color Management
Use of ICC profiles for color corrections made when converting
layouts to another format (see page 3-5) or for an
accurate on-screen color representation while editing layouts
(see page 30-1).
OPI functionality
Substitution of low-res images by the corresponding highres
images when importing PDF, PostScript or EPS documents.
Linework editing
Modification of linework graphics including recoloring, filling
and brushing (see page 26-1)
Automatic Trapping
Trapping the entire layout automatically when converting
it to another format (except non-Flat PDF/PS/EPS). For
more details refer to page 3-53 and page 18-1.
ORIS Color Tuner
Use of ‘ORIS_DAT Files’ created by ORIS Color Tuner for
color-correcting layouts when converting them to another
format (see page 3-5).
Viewing/Updating Software Licenses
Using the HELP | DONGLE INFO command to check the ORIS products
and software versions licensed with the dongle on your computer as well
as the expiration date of the dongle. Should you have problems with the
dongle, you may be requested by the CGS support staff to submit this
information.
To update a software license, you receive a password from CGS in the
form of a text file. We recommend to load this password file rather than
entering the password on the keyboard to prevent the risk of mistyping.
To update your dongle:
1. Save the password file to a directory that does not contain any blanks
or other special characters.
2. Select HELP | DONGLE INFO to open the license dialog.
3. Click the OK button in this dialog. A file selection box appears.
